We're Claire and Jules — two women in our 50s who spent a combined 40 years on the other side of retail. Claire was a buyer for a major high-end department store. Jules worked in product development and merchandising. We've seen the inside of the factories, the spreadsheets, and the markup formulas that turn a $40 lamp into a $200 “designer” piece.
We left the corporate grind because we were sick of it. Sick of watching people overpay for things we knew cost a fraction to make. Sick of the smoke and mirrors. So we started The Insider Aisle to do what we'd been doing for our friends for years: sharing the real intel on what's worth your money and what's not.
Now, we spend our days pushing red carts down Target aisles with lukewarm coffee in hand, deep-diving into Amazon at midnight, and scouring Walmart for finds that look like they belong in an Architectural Digest spread. We test everything ourselves — if it can't survive kids, pets, and real life, it doesn't make the cut.
No fake perfection here. No pristine marble countertops. Just two women who know exactly what things cost to make and refuse to let you overpay.
